Protest! is my Master’s thesis project documenting protest culture in Washington DC. The idea is to look at protest with a critical eye that examines creative and performative expression. Protesters, press, police and politicians are treated as characters whose interactions feed off of one another to create a theater like environment, not unlike the political theater that Washington is also known for. The pictures here are an early edit and do not represent my final project, which will be presented in April at the Corcoran School of Arts and Design NEXT Exhibition.
